Artist Statement:

My artwork explores the intricate interplay of emotion, memory, and ritual, expressed through repeated imagery such as trees, ladders, and nautical and celestial forms. These symbols, rooted in the natural world, strive to bring order and meaning while simultaneously embracing the inherent chaos of life. Through these visual motifs, I engage with themes of life’s journey, transformation, and the cycles of renewal and universal experiences that connect us all.

The repetitive rhythm of my creative process serves as a meditative practice, a space where intention and intuition meet. It is within this delicate balance that the true magic of my work unfolds. Each mark, layer, and form carries emotional resonance, inviting viewers into a contemplative experience that transcends the immediate visual.

Public art represents a profound extension of this personal practice into the communal realm. It invites unexpected interactions between individuals and their environment, transforming public spaces into places of reflection, connection, and healing. Unlike the contained atmosphere of museums and galleries, public art breaks down social and economic barriers by offering open access to all who encounter it.

In creating public sculptures, I consider scale, materials, and symbolism carefully to foster environments that encourage reflection and shared experience. My goal is to create visual narratives that honor both the individual’s journey and our collective humanity. By integrating elements of nature and universal symbols, my work seeks to evoke curiosity and contemplation.

Nature itself embodies resilience, continuously renewing and transforming despite adversity. My sculptures aim to echo this vitality, offering spaces where the healing power of art and the natural world converge.

Ultimately, my public artworks aspire to be more than objects, they are intended as living experiences within the community, where art becomes an accessible and meaningful part of daily life. Through this integration, I hope to contribute to a cultural landscape that embraces creativity as a source of healing, connection, and hope for all who engage with it.
